As Viktor Kortchnoi wrote, Well, if you do not check what your opponent is doing, you will end up complaining about bad luck every game. No chessplayer has managed to completely exclude this kind of mistake, but some make it less often and others more often. Many who are over-self-confident optimists make it with unenviable regularity.
